  • Roxy Wahine Cup 2009: Get stoked in Surf City! Grab your beach towel, sunglasses and sunblock and join the water babes in their bikinis and boardshorts for a kooking time at Suncoast Beach (next to Battery Beach).

From 12-13 December surfer chicks will be shredding the waves at the final event on this year’s Roxy competition calendar, the Roxy Wahine Cup in Durbs, now the biggest stand-alone girls surfing event in the country!

  • Sabrina Ocean Challenge 2009: So your name is not Sabrina? You don't like to be challenged? You don't love the ocean? No excuses. Land lubbers can enter 10km runs and 5km walks across gorgeous Plettenberg Bay. And surely you have a heart for children with disabilities? (Not just because it's Christmas.) Pack your gear. You have nothing to fear. Swim or paddle in the sea, run or walk on the beach — whatever level you want to compete at it is a good cause and loads of fun!

Now in its eighth year, the Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge has established itself as a "must do" event on the ocean swimming and surf ski calendars. Last year the event attracted 1000 participants in spite of very grumpy weather.

The event takes place on 28 December 2009 in Plettenberg Bay and is organized by Magnetic South and 100 percent of entry fees go towards the Sabrina Love Foundation.
