Atlantis, the 1539-room resort by South African 'sun king' Sol Kerzner, is scheduled to open in September on Dubai's 'Palm Jumeirah' and will be the flagship resort on the largest man-made island in the world.
The Royal Towers of Atlantis is an architectural wonder announcing both a new landmark and an exciting dimension to Dubai. The towering arches, arabesque domes and ornate spires describe a place of fascinating design, sculptural beauty and constant surprise. Every guest room and suite has a magnificent view and guests can choose to overlook the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf or the The Palm Jumeirah.
The 1539 guest rooms and suites are spacious and well-equipped with walk-in wardrobes, dressing areas and jetted tubs. The spectacular Bridge Suite spans the entire section of the Royal Towers with a private elevator and 24-hour butler service. The Royal and Presidential Suites offer stately grandeur and enjoy commanding vistas.
The complex includes Aquaventure, 17 hectares of water based attractions with the Ziggurat standing tall as the grand icon of the water adventures and over two kilometres of non-stop river ride action with cascades, tidal waves and rapids. The Aquaventure Private Beach offers sensational views of The Palm Jumeirah and action-packed water sports while Splashers, a children’s play area has pools and elaborate water games and slides.
Leisure facilities include Atlantis Kids' Club and Club Rush for teenagers, two Royal Towers pools with large decks and pool cabañas, the Ambassador Lagoon with 65 000 marine animals, the Lost Chambers, an Atlantean themed archaeological site with unique marine exhibits and Dolphin Bay, an interactive experience with the world's most charismatic animals.
Also located within the complex is a cosmopolitan avenue of over two dozen luxurious retail boutiques, four specialty restaurants and a nightclub with terrace. The Atlantis Spa has 27 wet and dry treatment rooms and there is also a running track and four tennis courts.
