It reminded us so much of home (South Africa)<br />The differences between Turks and native South Africans is that at least Turks leer more politely. In South Africa, one gets tormented everywhere regardless of what one wears or how one behaves by groups of males who feel that a leer is just not enough - they need to make comments and gestures just so that us grateful females can feel attractive!<br />As far as I am concerned Turks drive as badly as South Africans do, except that they don't overtake on blind rises as much as back home.<br /><br /> . s.stan");

document.write("My wife and i went on holiday to Turkey and the sites are awesome & country rich in heritage and history. However, we found the Turks the worst bunch of people we have ever encountered. they are sexist, rude, sly. We are both very well travelled and have never met a culture so pathetic. If your enjoy good standards, hygeine, service and romance then stay away from this place. My wife has never felt so uncomfortabe around men like she was on this holiday.. dont waste your money !!. document.write("Amazing place, with 5000 years of history.<br />Found the people to be very friendly, too. Sure, they leer at women, and are very enthusiastic salesmen, but in neither of these do they overstep decency. And they're very hospitable - free tea wherever you stop, when you buy something they give you something smaller for free, and generally very happy just to talk to some foreigners. Certainly a lot friendlier than the South Africans, and infinitely more polite!<br />By the way, good point about the stereotype English oafs. Me and my wife spoke German to each other to make sure locals don't take us for football hooligans. And more importantly so that the hooligans wouldn't take us for compatriots.<br />Highly recommended.. Jacek");
