analysis full of complexes

document.write("I am not french, I just come from a french-speaking country. And I am aware of some kind of french superiority attitude, and I get along well with it, not like you apparently. French have no Internet Cafés because 70% of households have high bandwidth at home (10 times the speed of South African ADSL, 100 times South African dialup). Yes they eat outside on nice terraces and I find wonderful to stroll in the streets of Paris without fearing of mugging and enjoy the immense diversity of restaurants. Yes I dislike their chauvinism, but I also hate the pessimistic attitude of (mostly white) South Africans who all want to emigrate selfishly. And about clothing, I must say that I haven't seen a SINGLE South African perfectly dressed from head to toe, except a few black women. Most whites wear horrendous clothes and the ugliest shoes, and should indeed go for a learning curve in France or Italy before judging. Most South African have no class and are unsophisticated. They should refrain judging out of complex.. Fred");
document.write("This article is a Merde
");
document.write("I am Chris and I am South African. I agree this article is ####. Terry, you probably discovered Paris with your \"unsophisticated\" eyes, Paris deserves better than your analysis. France is a fantastic destination. Terry, you are probably not made for these international cities, next time do an article about Potgietersrus, and how comfy you feel there with your empty Coke can and your squeaky clean teeth. Tell us your about your internet experience there and about the different smells and tastes of the locals. And please get a sophisticated life, well said Fred. Chris");
document.write("A month in the merde
");
document.write("Well, I find that the French are unwilling to accommodate anyone who is not French, sometimes they are downright rude! They refuse to assist you unless you speak French to them! Then what about the fact that Freedom of Religion is not allowed...well mainly for their Muslim population. My Family was robbed in France...it's never even happened to them here in SA. If you travel on their public transport in Paris at night, you can't help but feel a bit unsettled.
Like Terry, I prefer the beauty nature has provided. Paris has only had better marketing than many other cities, in Europe and the World, who have much more to offer a traveller. The whole Romantic Paris thing...I wasn't mad about the article, but disagree that Paris or France is all that!. Not that impressed with France");
document.write("Merde
");
document.write("This article is exactly how I felt about my visit to France many years ago. Unfortunately, tourists who spend an enormous amount on their \"wonderful\" European holidays seldom tell the truth. Those that have the money to confine their experiences to the wealthier parts usually come away with a distorted view of actual life on the streets. All major cities in the world have problems associated with overcrowding and population densities but yes..... I agree. France IMHO is in general a \"place populated by dentally challenged, sophisticated, smelly people who own a lot of \"stoep kakkers\". Hopefully, some day I will return to France and experience the \"other side\" and come away with a different point of view. . David");
document.write("Huh?
");
document.write("I always enjoy reading iAfrica material from abroad, but this article is totally misleading. I have lived in Paris, and have never experienced any of what is stated in the article. Paris is a very rich cultural city with more historic charm than we can wish for in most other places.
BTW, the French do eat standing up as well, and for any one who has ever been around the Notre Dame on a Sunday afternoon, I would like to find that bus stop bench where the old lady is sitting on. . Ron H.");
document.write("Huh?
");
document.write("iafrica, where did you find this tosser? Sounds like he's never actually been outside of central Paris, because if he has, he should really take a little better notice of the things going on around him if he's going to write travel articles.
It's one thing thrying to get a rise out of the folks here, it's entirely a different issue when someone spouts forth they clearly have very little idea of.. Martin");
document.write("Hits the spot.
");
document.write("This article hits the spot when it comes to defining the French and their attitude to foreigners, something of an irony when they claim to have more incoming tourists than any other country (in fact a distorted statistic based on their definition of 'tourist').
They are hygienically, sartorially, and dentally challenged, and as for lack of manners and culture, let's not even go there. In fact, let's go there .... until recently Paris transportation has signs up, only in French, forbidding people to spit. For all I know they still do.
For a nation who claim so much, they are actually only good at one thing, pompously promoting themselves. Apart from London, every major European city is cleaner and has more elegant and classy people than Paris, better fashions and food, and better looking women.. Mike");
document.write("Merde
");
document.write("I'm sure that various people travelling to France and Paris in particular, love it. For myself I'm more inclined to agree with the article. I have worked with an awfull lot of French in the past 13 years and bar a few, have found them to be offensive. I hated every moment I have ever spent in Paris, but would love to go back to Pau, in the south west. I have a few very good friends from various parts of France, but generally find those from Normandy to be the friendliest.
All I can say is that those of you that love France and the French, go ahead and enjoy them, but please allow others their point of view.. George Munro");
