Kenya Airways' first Boeing 787 is scheduled to begin flying regionally within Africa in the coming weeks before beginning its new long-haul service to Paris in early June.
The airline took delivery of its first new 787 last week. It is one of nine set to join the fleet and part of a 10-year fleet renewal and expansion plan dubbed ‘Project Mawingu’.
The strategy will see the airline’s fleet size grow from 44 aircraft to 107 by 2021. The number of destinations served will also increase, from 62 to 115.
