In the same week that low-cost competitor Mango announced routes to Port Elizabeth, kulula.com says it will offer flights between O.R. Tambo in Johannesburg and East London. Bookings open on 28 November 2012, with the first flight taking off on 1 March 2013.
kulula.com will use one of its new 189-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the 90-minute route, offering two flights daily.
Nadine Damen, Marketing Manager: kulula.com says: "We have introduced this route to meet the demand for flights in and out of East London, and to support the economic growth of the Eastern Cape. We are thrilled to be able to address this need for our kulula fans, by making it easier and more affordable to fly to and from East London."
kulula.com will also be increasing the frequency of flights between Johannesburg and George, and between Johannesburg and Durban to satisfy demand.
