Cathay Pacific will add a premium economy product to its fleet from next year.

From April the airline will introduce new features, including bigger seats, an improved meal service and 'little extras' available at an additional charge, which Chief Executive Officer, John Slosar, said would be "a real upgrade over economy".

"The seat will be more like a regional business class seat. We will have great recline and plenty of leg space... But it is not just the seat. We will have an improved service as well... [It] will leave anyone who chooses Cathay Pacific’s premium economy feeling they really got value for their money.”

Mr. Slosar said the new product would be introduced on all of Cathay Pacific’s long-haul routes, including South Africa, the ultra long-hauls to Europe and North America, and the medium-haul to Australia, the Middle East and other destinations.
