Low-cost airline Mango has announced a new route between Johannesburg and Bloemfontein, with the first flight set to depart on 12 April.

The schedule, designed to accommodate full business days, will operate daily in the morning and evenings, and the airline has introduced an introductory offer of a limited number of seats at R545 (one way), on sale until 31 March.

"Demand between the cities is indicated as substantial," says Mango CEO Nico Bezuidenhout. "The positive impact of low cost aviation to any particular destination has been proven worldwide," he says, noting that the airline?s Bloemfontein/Cape Town route has seen annual growth of 27 percent.

Earlier this week, Mango also announced the next step in its partnership with online provider WirelessG. The airline plans to have internet available across its fleet during the course of the year, pending CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) approvals. ?Mango is growing, whether it?s our network or innovative ancillary revenue opportunities.?
