For anyone wanting to fly to London over the festive season, Christmas has come early with return fares in World Traveller (economy class) from just R4380 (including taxes). This special can be booked immediately and runs until 26 December. It is available on all flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town for travel to London between 23 and 26 December.

The fly-drive special is ideal for people wanting to pack in some sightseeing or who are contemplating a family holiday. The offer includes a return World Traveller airfare and seven days of Avis car hire from R5290 (including taxes). It runs until 15 November and is for travel between 15 October and 31 March 2010. Fly-drive fares are also available in the World Traveller Plus and Club World cabins.

British Airways has also introduced discounts for travellers going to 15 European countries to offset the costs of a UK visa. World Traveller and World Traveller Plus customers will receive a discount of R655 towards the cost of a UK transit visa if they book and pay before 15 November. Tickets in Club World and First to the same destinations are discounted by R3010, enabling travellers to get a two-year UK visa. Both offers are for travel between 15 October and 31 March 2010.

And there’s more good news for Club World travellers who book full-fare tickets to the UK before 15 November. They’ll get a free upgrade to First on one sector of the journey. The offer is for travel between 15 October and 31 March 2010.
