"British Airways will drop its fuel surcharge by as much as £13 from midnight," the carrier said in a brief statement.
The announcement follows a similar move by BA's British rival Virgin Atlantic on Tuesday.
Germany's leading airline, Lufthansa, also said it would trim its fuel surcharges in light of lower oil prices.
From October 20, Lufthansa is to reduce surcharges on domestic and European routes by €3 to €24.
Long-haul surcharges will be cut €5 to €92, a Lufthansa statement said, citing the fall in oil prices.
