Looking for an ideal getaway to enjoy world class wine, nature and scenery in South Africa’s oldest towns? A new luxurious lodge has opened in the winelands. La Clé Country Lodge, nestled in the valley Franschhoek, in the Western Cape, opened its doors in 2017 on December 20.
The stunning lodge is based on a working wine farm and is a five-minute walk from village restaurants and shops.
The lodge is ideal for family trips as it offers five double en-suite bedrooms (available for single bookings or exclusive use), a large country kitchen, communal dining area, private pool and terrace with expansive vineyards views, tennis court, heli-pad and two professional chefs.
Get ready for an interactive experience as guests are encouraged to engage with the chefs, observing the meals as they are prepared. The Lodge not only caters for families but solo travellers, couples and larger groups too.
The lodge, which has amenities close-by makes it eco-friendly as guests rely less on cars as they can make their way around on foot to their preferred destinations which are in close proximity.
