Jimmy Kimmel has come up with the perfect response to United Airlines’ disastrous treatment of a passenger earlier this week.
The airline has been accused of forcibly and violently removing an elderly doctor from a flight, in order to make place for four crew members from a partner airline.
United’s response to the fiasco hasn’t been great, with its CEO first applauding his crew without apologising to the man, before acknowledging that something was in fact amiss.
Late night TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel has torn into the carrier, saying that kicking the paying customer off the flight before take-off is like having to leave a restaurant before your meal arrives, simply because another diner needs your table.
Kimmel was blunt when referencing United’s first ‘apology’, a tweet that has garnered extensive criticism.
“That is such sanitized, say-nothing, take-no-responsibility, corporate-B.S. speak," he says. “"I don’t know how the guy who sent that tweet didn’t vomit when he typed it up."
