Ever thought about mailing home a postcard, or perhaps an email, from somewhere remote? While the world has had its dramas this year — the urge for travellers to venture off the beaten track remains strong.

    Andorra is a landlocked country bordered by France to the north and Spain to the south. It is one of the smallest countries in Europe.

    Eritrea is located in North East Africa and includes the Dahlak Archipelago and other islands along the Red Sea coast.

    Falkland Islands are located to the northeast of Cape Horn and consist of two main islands, East and West Falklands as well as over 740 smaller islands in the South Atlantic Ocean.
  • Why go there: Get up close to most accessible colony of King penguins in the world. There are also Gentoo, Magellanic, Rockhopper and the curiously named Macaroni penguin on the island.
