VoucherCloud has created an infographic mapping the world's "booziest countries" - with South African making it into the top 25.
The list was created using World Health Organisation data on each country's average pure alcohol consumption in litres per person per year.
Taking the top spot is Moldova, where the average adult consumes 17.4 litres of pure alcohol per year - which is the equivalent of 178 bottles of wine.
Most of the top spots in the list were held by Eastern European countries, including Belarus, the Czech Republic, Romania and Serbia.
South Africa appeared at number 22 on the list, with the average South Africa drinking 11.5 litres of pure alcohol per year.
While South Africans are renowned for our love of beer, we were outranked by countries such as Australia, Namibia and France.
