The world has not been a friendly place for endangered wildlife in recent years, with several species nearing or going completely extinct.
Adding to this, there is a huge list of critically endangered species - with 4 801 species under serious threat - so it's hard to keep track.
Fly to Dubai has created a short infographic showing a timeline of endangered and extinct animals from across the globe.
The list goes back to the 1980s, and shows animals that went extinct or are on the brink of extinction since then.
There are some familiar faces in the list, such as the Western Black Rhinoceros, which went extinct as recently as 2011.
While there's no way to list all the animals that face extinction on just one infographic, the Fly to Dubai list gives us a good idea of what we've lost and what we are losing.
