The Boardwalk General Manager Graham Vass is, however, confident that all the tenants will be trading by December 11, and that the more than R14-million in municipal road works funded by The Boardwalk will also be completed.
"Whilst the weather has given us a few challenges, we are assured by our contractors that they will be finished by December 11, which is a condition of licence," he says.
A number of shops have already opened for business, with the rest being phased in from December 1. Most of the restaurants have already started installing kitchens and other fittings.
"In fact, things are happening so fast, it's often hard to keep up."
Among the latest attractions to open at The Magic Company are an adventure golf course, a new swing ride and a number of traditional stalls. A Go-kart track will open soon.
"Every day there's something new to do at The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World, and every day the contractors put the finishing touches to a shop, restaurant, hotel room or walk-way," says Mr Vass. "The fact that they've achieved as much as they have despite the torrential rains and gale-force winds we've been experiencing is a tribute to all of them."
"On behalf of The Boardwalk team I would like to thank all those who have shown such patience during the building and construction of The Boardwalk, which is fast realising our dream of becoming the pride of Port Elizabeth."
