Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, a three-hour drive from Cape Town, has launched a new boat safari experience in the Karoo wilderness reserve.

The boat has been called Peregrine, after the Peregrine Falcon, and will take guests on a 'water safari' on the Bellair Dam situated in the middle of the reserve. Boat trips will offer guests a new perspective on the reserve's Big Five and varied birdlife.

Due to its design, Peregrine is able to navigate into shallow waters and offer access to most areas of the dam. It seats 12 guests and both early-morning and sunset cruises will be offered. Peregrine can also be booked for sole use, at an additional cost.
