One&Only Cape Town have announced an exclusive offer for South African residents that is ideal for leisure travellers and families alike visiting the Mother City during the upcoming five-week school holiday. The special offer is also valid during the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament, except for 2 -6 July.

The 'Closer to the Cape' offer is valid for any length of stay and, at R2999 per room per night including breakfast, guests can choose between the resort's Marina Rooms with captivating views of Table Mountain, or Superior Rooms on their own secluded and lushly landscaped island surrounded by waterways and accessed only by bridge.

Guests staying for one night will receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival as well a R500 food and beverage credit to enjoy at any of the resort's bars or stellar restaurants, including Nobu and maze by Gordon Ramsay. A complimentary three consecutive hours babysitting service can also be redeemed if needed.

Guests staying for two nights will receive an additional 30-minute One&Only Massage per guest, whilst a three-night stay includes complimentary airport transfers in a luxury vehicle.

One&Only Cape Town has been recognised as one of the best international hotels in the May 2010 issues of US' Conde Nast Traveler and UK's Conde Nast Traveller magazines. In each magazine's independently combined annual 'Hot List' One&Only Cape Town was selected as one of the world's top hotels to open in 2009 and was given the highest "hottest" rating by the US editors.

Commenting on the 'Closer to the Cape' winter deal for South African residents, One&Only Cape Town General Manager, Tony Romer-Lee, says the exclusive offer brings the resort's unprecedented levels of luxury well within the reach of the local leisure market: "Guests will not only experience the largest entry level rooms in all of Cape Town, but also the city's most comprehensive spa, the continent's only restaurants by legendary chefs Nobuyuki Matsuhisa and Gordon Ramsay, and one of the most balanced and diverse wine collections on the continent."

Children will furthermore enjoy the resort's complimentary KidsOnly facilities. Romer-Lee comments: "One&Only Cape Town is perfectly located in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, and thus has a wide range of exciting and enjoyable experiences on its doorstep, from seal watching and a visit to the adjacent Two Oceans Aquarium to a once-in-a-lifetime tour of Robben Island. We also offer a unique KidsOnly facility that is committed to giving our very important younger guests the opportunity to experience the local culture in their own special way through complimentary, fully supervised daily programmes for children aged four to 11."

One&Only Cape Town's KidsOnly Programmes are packed with fun-filled local excursions such as a harbour tour and boat trip, culinary experiences such as cup cake baking, theme-based puppet shows, storytelling, arts and crafts, African dance, and music and fitness activities. The vibrant club consists of an arts and crafts area, a movie and video games lounge, a quiet reading area, a computer area with the latest technology and an exclusive KidsOnly garden.

The 'Closer to the Cape' offer is valid until 30 September 2010, excluding 2 to 6 July 2010.
