According to the show’s general manager, Glynis Anderson, the decision to move the fair to June was taken after considering the likelihood that the country’s general elections will be taking place in mid-April. Thus, says Anderson, "it seems June would be a far more suited time for this hugely exciting show."
“Given the fact that World Holiday and Travel Fair (WHTF) is the only consumer fair that will showcase and facilitate outbound travel and holiday options (from around Africa and the world), amidst non-stop fun, food and festivities for the whole family, we believe that moving the time slot for the show would add to the success of the show for exhibitors and visitors alike.”
“Our presenting sponsor, International banking from Absa, as well as all other sponsors and partners have been consulted in the decision and they are fully supportive”, continues Anderson.
According to Anderson interest in the show has increased considerably since the start of this year. “Moving the date of the show forward now also provides exhibitors and interested parties with more time to develop and package great show specials to ensure they get maximum value out of their participation.”
In addition to great travel and holiday options, World Holiday and Travel Fair will also offer visitors value-adding workshops, exciting youth travel options, international cuisine at The Theatre of Food, international entertainment at the Festival Stage and much more.
