A video of a sea kayaking company's owner saving a baby dolphin has gone viral, with over 9.8 million views in a matter of days.
The video shows Pelican Point Kayaking co-owner Naude Dreyer picking up a beached dolphin.
The Namibian-born businessman then takes the small Benguela Dolphin back to the water.
"After a quick assessment and measurements, I attempted to get him swimming again. I was not very hopeful, but as soon as he got into water and realized where he was he took off like a bullet," Dreyer said on Facebook.
The video shows the animal swimming off back into the ocean. Dreyer said he drove past the beach again later on in the day to check that the dolphin did not get beached again.
Facebook users praised Dreyer for his actions.
"See there are still good people left. Gives me hope for mankind. No selfies just pure selfless help for a struggling baby. Thx again," one user said.
Dreyer hopes that his video can possibly raise some funds for his five-year-old daughter's cancer treatment.
He is running a GoFundMe campaign for his daughter as well.
