Working Adventures is a weekly series of work 'n travel talks in which we will provide you with info, tips and advice on how to travel affordably. Travel is one of life's best learning experiences and we hope to make it part of your world.

Summer camp is an unbelievable experience for any young adventurer, between the ages of 18 and 35, who enjoys working with children and exploring new opportunities, The camp experience is also a great way to meet new and diverse people, have fun and learn about the American culture. There is also always time to travel and visit those places you’ve always dreamt of seeing.

Thousands of American children aged between six and 16 flock to camp each year for a period of one to eight weeks for some good wholesome fun, to learn new skills and make friends. As a Summercamp Counsellor, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the most amazing, fulfilling, and challenging time of your life

Not only is your food and living expenses covered while at camp, but you also get paid up to $1 175 once your contract is complete. In order to make SUMMER CAMP USA accessible to more people, SASTS also offers the opportunity of opting for a free return flight to the USA, and still earn some pocket money!!.

The specific role you will play at camp is totally dependant on your skills, qualifications and experience. This may range from being the tennis or soccer activity specialist, to co-ordinating the drama or arts & crafts programme.

So if you, or anyone you know fits the bill, the dream of working and travelling overseas is now possible. The programme is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 35, who has experience with working with children. The summer camp programme runs between June and August each year for 8 to 9 weeks.
