Beachcomber Hotels is to renovate two of its properties in Mauritius - Le Victoria and Shandrani - during the off-peak period between June and September. Although disruptions are expected to be minimal, the company has advised that a week-long closure at Le Victoria will see complimentary upgrades for affected customers.
Le Victoria will only close from 10 - 24 June for alterations to the pool area and the wooden deck surrounding it. Customers who have booked on a half-board basis are being offered a complimentary upgrade to Trou aux Biches or Paradis, while those who have booked on an all-inclusive basis will be offered an upgrade to Shandrani on the premium fully-inclusive package, Serenity Plus.
Alternatively, customers can choose between Paradis or Trou aux Biches’ Full Board Plus packages at no extra charge.
Shandrani will not close during interior renovations to its 108 Deluxe Rooms and 36 Family Apartments to be carried out between 2 June and 15 September. Blocks of rooms will be closed at a time while the interiors are being upgraded and there is not expected to be any noise or disruption to customers staying at the hotel, the company advised.
New equipment includes the installation of flat-screen TVs and media hubs. Bathrooms will be renovated and those in the children’s rooms of the family apartments will be completely rebuilt. Ground level rooms will also be given new outdoor living areas.
